Drafts regulations in the field of occupational safety and health, and opinions for their implementation;
 
Drafts field-specific basis for creation of the national programme of occupational safety and health development and monitors its implementation;

Monitors and evaluates state of affairs concerning safety and health at work and develops statements for uniform definition of OSH measures within the scope of the law and other regulations;

Conducts research and encourages development related to humanisation of work;

Offers professional assistance related to safety and health of workers and employees;

Prepares methodologies of inspection and examination in the field of OSH; organizes vocational exams under Article 54 of the Occupational Safety and Health Law;

Controls compliance of legal persons and self-employed as well as licensed responsible persons, and drafts proposals of decisions for issuance and withdrawal of licences under Articles 55 and 57 of the OSH Law, of which maintains records;

Collects and analyzes data on injuries at work and occupational dis
eases;

Conducts information and documentation activities related to occupational safety and health of workers;

Organizes counselling, education of employees, employers, occupational safety and health officers, inspectors, etc, publishes various documents and materials and informs public on the state of affairs related to occupational safety and health;

Ensures implementation of international enactments related to OSH; encourages education and development of occupational safety and health culture.
